In September, Lindsay & Lang will go head-to-head with some of the country’s most prominent organisations at the Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC) National Awards 2021.
Shortlisted in the ‘Best Leadership Communication Programme’ category, the nomination recognises our work in developing the leadership conversation to support mental health and wellbeing.
By generating greater awareness around mental health, our leadership communication and engagement programme helps organisations foster a culture where barriers to conversations and the stigma around mental health are broken down.
The Leadership Communication and Engagement Programme
The leadership communication and engagement programme is specifically tailored to each organisation that we work with, and effective delivery of the programme hinges on our engagement with stakeholders.
Rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all approach, the programme is adapted to each client’s needs and can look completely different from one company to the next.
Taking existing processes and communication channels into consideration and the organisation’s values, we provide a robust programme of continuous improvement that feels authentic to them and is, therefore, more likely to be sustainable.
Over 950 leaders have participated to date, including those working in the energy, food & drink, transportation and logistics sectors across the UK, Europe, UAE, Malaysia, and Egypt.
We have received some fantastic feedback from programme participants, reporting how open they found the courses and how it provided a safe space to talk about mental health and wellbeing:
“Lindsay & Lang played a pivotal role in embedding our commitment and vision towards mental health in the workplace. Its professional, engaging and effective style certainly made an impact. This is demonstrated in the feedback received from over 200 managers and 24 mental health first aiders. We will continue working with Lindsay & Lang on our wellbeing journey following the path set by them.”
The IoIC award nomination is the icing on the cake, having already received results from implementing our leadership communication and engagement programme. We hope that broader awareness of the programme will lead more organisations to start their journeys toward better mental health in the workplace.
